Solanum melongena, also known as "Imperial Black Beauty," is a well-adapted open-pollinated variety that can thrive in almost any region of the country. This variety produces big yields of delectable, large, and glossy fruits that are deep purple in color. Prior to the fruiting stage, the plant is adorned with beautiful lavender blooms that make it a perfect addition to any flower garden and attractive to bees.

On average, this high-yielding plant produces fruit that weighs about 2 pounds each, and you can expect around a dozen fruits per plant. Additionally, the compact nature of the plant makes it easy to grow and well-suited for container gardens.
