Tatume, also known as tatuma or calamata, is a rare and impressive summer squash that has been a favorite in Mexico and southern Texas for a long time. This variety of (Cucurbita pepo) produces dark green, round squash with creamy, buttery flesh, which is best picked when they reach a size of 3”-5”.

One of the remarkable features of Tatume is its exceptional drought tolerance. Furthermore, it is highly resistant to squash vine borers, making it a desirable option for gardeners.
