For organic gardeners, this mixture of herbs and flowers is an excellent ally. It is designed to attract beneficial insects, including lacewings, lady beetles, hoverflies, syrphid flies, and parasitic wasps. By planting this blend around your vegetable garden, you can encourage the presence of these helpful insects and promote natural pest control. The recommended seeding rate for this mixture is 9-18 pounds per acre, depending on your planting goals. If you are planting a smaller area, such as a 1/2 acre or less, the recommended rate is 7 ounces per 1000 square feet.

The mix consists of a variety of herbs and flowers, namely Baby Blue-Eyes, Bergamot, Bishop's Flower, Black-Eyed Susan, California Poppy, Candytuft, Cilantro, Dill, Dwarf Cosmos, Fennel, Gayfeather, Globe Gilia, Indian Blanket, Lance-Leaved Coreopsis, Purple Prairie Clover, Rockcress, Shasta Daisy, Siberian Wallflower, and Sweet Alyssum.
