(Coreopsis lanceolata) is a native perennial wildflower that produces abundant clusters of 2-inch golden yellow blooms with fringed petals and long, slender lance-shaped leaves. It is a versatile plant that can be used as a cut flower, garden border, or for mass planting. This plant is also an excellent source of nectar for honeybees, native bees, and butterflies and is a favorite of songbirds. It typically blooms in late summer and is also commonly referred to as Tickseed Coreopsis.
